Introduction to Red Dot Pistol Shooting (100)
Calling all Red Dot Shooters! Speed and accuracy will help you win in gunfight and a red dot sight increases those chances even further! During this class we will discuss advantages and disadvantages of rod dot sights, effective shooting techniques that increase your accuracy with a red dot sight and run through a variety of drills that will test your speed and accuracy in live-fire scenarios.
REQUIRED PREREQUISITES: An NRA Basic Pistol class, previous shooting class, or equivalent experience to include an understanding of shooting fundamentals is required. If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Training here or by phone at (401) 500-2465.
REQUIRED MATERIALS: A firearm with an affixed red dot sight, 2 magazines, approximately 150 rounds of ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection is required.
A holster and reliable belt is recommended but not required.

When entering the Members Lodge Clubhouse, inclusive of the Double Barrell Kitchen Restaurant inside and outside dining, and the Preserve Academy classroom, we kindly ask that you abide by our Resort Casual Dress Code, permitting collared shirts, dress shorts, cotton and linen slacks, dressy blouses, pullover tops, dresses and maxi dresses, dress jeans, and close toed shoes.
Nonconforming clothing includes but is not limited to; bathing suits, beach coverups, camisoles, hoodies, non-dressy Jeans, carpenter pants, T-shirts, sweat suits, cutoffs, torn shorts, yoga pants, sneakers, and flip-flops.
