Instructor Dev: Advanced Rifle (Four Day)
April 25 – 28 / 0800 – 1600 Hours

During this training program, officers will learn how to create training periods of instruction (POI), teach and employ advanced weapons handling tactics, techniques and procedures, utilized by modern Special Operations Forces. The Special Operations cadre will impart critical skills and techniques reinforced by real world experiences, validated by over two decades conducting Special Operations Missions during the Global War On Terror. This four day course is designed to enhance the officer’s ability to generate POI’s, teach advanced weapons handling, and drive standard operating procedures (SOP) development at their respective departments. This training program is intended for all L/E, Military, Corrections, Federal and State ESU/SRT/SWAT personnel.

Course Topics

Required Material: 

• Eye protection: sunglasses / ballistic clear lenses
• Ear protection: amplified hearing protection (recommended but not required)
• Field Load Carrier (FLC)/ Plate Carrier with rifle magazine pouches
• Duty belt
• Dump pouch (recommended but not required)
• Service Carbine w/ 4 magazines, red dot/ holographic optic, & two point sling
• Pen, paper, note taking material
• Weather appropriate attire
• Small arms cleaning & repair kit (recommended but not required)
• IFAK
• 1,300 rounds of rifle ammunition
