NRA Rifle Instructor Training

Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet; take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate

This is a great beginner rifle class to learn the basics or refresh your skills. This class is also a prerequisite to be an NRA Certified Rifle Instructor. This class is rarely offered in Rhode Island so take advantage of this opportunity before it’s gone! On top of that, refreshments and lunch is served free of charge!

Students can bring their own rifle, 100 rounds, eye, and ear protection or it will be provided by The Preserve.
